me, my wife and kids came on a monday evening to have a nice family dinner, we ordered walnut prawns, lemon chicken, salt and pepper pork chops, shrimp with green beans, and combination fried rice, food portions were really huge. the 2 ladies that helped us were very nice and service was awesome! we will definitely come back here again next time we are back in reno, thank you!
This is not my first rodeo at The Wok. Everything I've eaten here has been flavorful and tastes fresh. I was undecided when I walked in today, but once I saw fresh green beans being prepared I was sold!!!! I chose the $16.95 LUNCH SPECIAL: Green Beans & Pork. It comes with Egg Drop Soup, a Crispy Potsticker, a Crab Rangoon and either noodles or fried rice.... I chose rice. These beans are so tender and the pork is tasty. In my opinion, the serving size is large enough to share when meeting a girlfriend for lunch, or enough to fill you up and take home a serving for lunch at the office.
Best Chinese cuisine in town! I always stop by here whenever I'm in Reno. I always come back for more. Come see for yourself! Also, don't sleep on their Mapo tofu with pork!
Brought my kids to eat some dinner. Friendly environment great customer service! Best part was the delicious food they had! Try the Mongolian chicken or beef, best in town!!! My kids really liked the chow mein and chicken fried rice! So many good choices here, definitely recommend!!!
This place is such a hidden gem! The Wok is my default Chinese food restaurant in Reno. Living cross country from my Asian mothers' home cooking, this is where I go for Asian comfort food. It has all your classic dishes; Beef with Broccoli, Honey Walnut shrimp, hearty Wonton Soup (with tons of veggies, YUM). If you're an adventurous eater they have the super authentic dishes on the back page. My husband loves the Dan Dan noodles, I've tried a bunch of the Salt and Pepper dishes (Tofu, Eggplant, Calamari, Shrimp) and they're all FIRE. Salt & Pepper tofu is probably my favorite, so soft and melts in your mouth! The Chicken Wings with Dry Chili Pepper Sauce is incredible with crazy Szechuan peppercorns that are spicy and mouth numbing but not over the top. I love this place, the service is fast and efficient. The portions are always generous here too, so definitely bring your appetite!
Really good 10/10 I love the walnut shrimp it's so amazing we go here every time we are in the area
I recently ordered takeout from here and was very pleased. I ordered my family and I all different meal combos and for the price of the food we got very good quality and a big quantity. When I went to pick the food up the staff was extremely friendly and well organized. I definitely recommend if you are in the mood for Chinese!
Definitely a must if you're craving Chinese. Their Dinner Combo includes a crab Rangoon, egg roll, soup, fried rice, chicken chowmein, and an entree of your choice. Prices range from $20-23, but you get a lot of food. The chowmein is so good. Really flavorful and hits the spot each time. I'm not the biggest fan of their fried rice. It lacks flavor and is kind of dry, but the chowmein makes up for it. Our go to is the lemon chicken. It's a breaded chicken breast and includes lemon dipping sauce. It's nice that it's on the side, so the chicken stays crispy. We also ordered the Walnut shrimp for the first time and will definitely order it again. Im generally not a big fan of battered seafood, but it had a good ratio to meat. The shrimp were also big and cooked perfectly. Their egg drop is also really good and not thick and goopy. The restaurant is always clean and generally gets pretty packed. The service is touch and go with friendliness. Overall, the food is good and the pricing is on the higher end. I recommend trying it for yourself if you haven't already checked out this location.
#20 Braised Beef & Potato, spicy! This was referred by a fellow Foodie and I just cannot quit ordering it every visit! The most unique flavors. I usually drop in the bowl of rice into it for maximum umami. The curry chicken is my 2nd favorite, nothing but hits all day, no matter what we order. Staff has always been 110%. Love this place.
This is becoming our favorite Chinese Restaurant in Reno. Great food and great service! There is no need for anything more! Quality/Quantity - Very extensive menu. Complimentary soup. Today we got the following: #9. Green Bean with Pork. #10. Sesame Chicken Dinner Combo. #20. Braised Beef with Potato. Atmosphere - This obviously used to be a Wendy's, lol. Table or booth seating. Open 6 days a week from 11am to 9pm or 9:30pm; closed Wednesdays. Plenty of mall parking. Service - 5 stars, both the husband and wife owners frequented our table to make sure we were good. They checked up on us often, offered us more water, etc. We took half of each order to-go, and asked for only one box.The wife offered two separate boxes and utensils (we declined). Again, great service. Price - $77 + tip. Includes a credit card fee of $2.75. More and more businesses in Reno are having CC fees. Starting to feel like I am in Australia again. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success and your 10 year anniversary last April (2024)!!
